KIOWA, Colo.—Trash is continuing to pile up in Elbert County after authorities ordered part of RT Services’ trucks off the road because of safety concerns.
Documents obtained by KMGH-TV ( ) show deputies stopped two trucks last month after they found bald tires and brake problems.
The owner of the trash company is blaming a worker shortage and a heat wave for letting customers’ trash pile up over the past month.
