Wild West Air Fest in Steamboat Springs
Steamboat Springs’ eighth annual Wild West Air Fest takes place Friday-Sept. 3. This Labor Day celebration features vintage aircraft displays, classic cars, radio-controlled airplane shows and the famous Rocky Mountain Bull Bash. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and free for children under 5.
Colorado Chile Chili Festival in Castle Rock
The second annual Colorado Chile Chili Festival brings the heat to Castle Rock on Saturday. Held at the Douglas Event Center, this festival is filled with cooking demonstrations, gourmet food trucks, unique hot sauces, freshly roasted hot green chile and cold drinks.
Boulder Creek Hometown Festival
The Boulder Creek Hometown Festival in downtown Boulder takes place Saturday-Sept. 3. This community event features a 5k, the Great Zucchini Race, an interactive Sports & Kids Expo, the infamous Chili Inferno Cook-off and over 100 arts and crafts exhibitors.
Scottish-Irish Highland festival in Estes Park
Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival is Sept. 6-9 in Estes Park. With four days of scotch tasting, jousting tournaments, athletic competitions, live music and a parade featuring dogs of the British Isles, this is the largest Scottish-Irish festival in the West.
