The is known by a lot of names — “Sleeper House,” the “Sculptured House” and “Flying Saucer House” to name a few.

Now it can claim a new title: One of “America’s Ugly Mansions.”

lists America’s ugliest mansions, noting that “architectural beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but some mansions are just plain ugly.”

The Colorado home is one of seven featured, and the writer’s description of the property notes that “this private mansion is perfect … for aliens.”

The house, which overlooks Interstate 70, was designed by architect Charles Deaton and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Deaton, who also designed the elliptical-shaped bank building at South Broadway and Hampden Avenue in Englewood and Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, completed the exterior of the house in 1966.

Exteriors shots of the house were featured in the Woody Allen movie “Sleeper.”

The home’s current owners, Larry and Toni Winkler, told The Denver Post last year that they were working to make the home more energy-efficient.
