A man was injured in a fall from a third-floor balcony Thursday morning as police were called to the scene on a domestic violence report.

The incident happened about 7 a.m. at the Kennedy Ridge Apartments, 10700 E. Dartmouth Ave., Denver police said.

The man was climbing up balconies to gain access to a third-floor unit when he fell. A person inside the apartment had called police for help prior to the man’s fall.

He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.
