Authorities have released the name of a 28-month-old boy who wandered away from his baby-sitter Friday night and drowned in an apartment pool.
Morgan Okolie was pronounced dead at an Aurora hospital, said Cassidee Carlson, an Aurora police spokeswoman.
Police officers pulled the child from the pond shortly after they went to the apartments at 170 S. Sable Blvd. at 9:15 p.m., Carlson said.
Carlson said officers learned that the boy and his two older siblings were dropped off at a baby-sitter’s apartment by their mother on her way to work.
Investigators are still interviewing witnesses and no criminal charges have been filed, she said.
