Getting your player ready...
You must have lived here a very long time now if you remember Stapleton as an airport, rather than as a lifestyle. Believe it or not, the last DC-10s and 757s took off 17 years ago; the first homeowners moved into neighborhoods bordering E. 29th Avenue exactly ten years ago this summer; and a satellite photo of Stapleton’s 7-square-mile expanse today shows barely a trace of what were runways; instead, lots of new ways to live in a sustainably-designed urban environment.
Today, when residents are walking to their Sunday morning Farmers Market near Stapleton’s East 29th Avenue Town Center and while builders show their latest neighborhood near Bluff Lake Nature Center, you’ll find an entirely new way to explore Stapleton — The Info Gallery, just south on Roslyn from 29th, where the Farmers Market runs until half past noon. You can browse the produce – maybe stop off for coffee or lunch at one of the retailers in the town center; and find time to give a call to the Info Gallery, to set time for a sales associate to brief you on a wide range of housing options. Right now, that includes ways to RENT at Stapleton – either because you’re not ready to buy and want to sample the lifestyle, or you’re waiting for a home to be completed (special leases for that!); or maybe you’re ready for a luxury long-term rental, walkable to Stapleton’s attractions. The team will show you two new collections – The Aster series, attracting arrivals from downtown lofts and similar settings, and luxurious Botanica. Botanica is available both near the town center and near Bluff Lake; the Aster is near the town center, with more settings to come. “You’ll view a wide range of plans and styles to choose from,” says Rebecca Cotter, General Manager for Stapleton Apartments. Tasha Jones at Forest City points out that renting has always been a popular way to get to know Stapleton – the parks, schools, and other attractions – while thinking about buying. “When we track new homebuyers, we find 30 percent of them already live here,” she adds. “They already know how great the lifestyle is, and how easy the commute is to downtown or Fitzsimons.” You can explore new home possibilities at the Info Gallery – builders who are collectively absorbing over 40 new sales a month – including two arrivals, Century Communities, and Boulder Creek Builders, with a smart line of new patio-ranch plans that have been a sell-out near Boulder. You’ll get information on those at the Info Gallery; or head straight for the models (all in Central Park West; take Quebec north past MLK to E. 35th Avenue, and then east a half-mile). PRICE: New comprehensive information center at Stapleton, The Info Gallery, information about new homes & apartments in the master-planned community; huge aerial map; touch screens and iPads on builders and rentals; by appointment if possible. 2853 Roslyn St., Denver; from Quebec St. take E. 29th east thru Stapleton Town Center to Roslyn and turn right PRICE: New homes from $100s to $700s; apartments from $1105/mo.
