Who’s hot: Junior QB Derek Carr. The younger brother of former Bulldog and NFL top draft pick David Carr, the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder went 29-for-47 for 234 yards and a touchdown against Oregon and surpassed 4,000 yards passing for his career.
Who’s not: Fresno State’s defense struggled against Oregon’s warp-speed spread, yielding 201 yards and three touchdowns to Ducks tailback Kenjon Barner on 34 carries.
Key stat: The Bulldogs scored on all five trips to the red zone but settled for field goals on three of them.
