Getting your player ready...

In case you think you have forever to decide on getting a place in SPIRE, towering over the theater district and its restaurants, think again: SPIRE sold anther six homes last month, carrying it well past the 75 percent-sold mark. And most of those were the high end units up in the iconic tower’s ‘SkyClub’ – the top ten floors with the best views and their own clubhouse overlooking downtown.

SPIRE makes it easy to see what’s left with a special 48-hour sales event: tours on the half-hour of carefully decorated models on the 38th floor that showcase the opportunities, including those SkyClub units. There are roomy 2-bedroom/2½ bath designs; but also a one-bedroom-plus-den plan that’s shown with a Murphy bed included, where you can overnight your downtown guests for as little as $348,000.

Make that move now and SPIRE will include a free parking space (some of those, notes SPIRE Sales Manager Mark Friedberg, carry values up to $42,000), even on the most affordable 1-bedroom, priced right now from $320,000. The SkyClub (including premium finishes, special wine and bike storage, and access to furnished guest suites) was too good for Garis and Ines Smith to pass up – getting ready to move up from their corner unit on the 22nd floor to a SkyClub unit with even more size for entertaining. The Smiths did an extensive search two years ago before picking SPIRE the first time; but also shopped the other downtown towers this year to see who has the best value. “You don’t get the same bang for buck as you get over here,” Garis told me, while working with the painters on their new 35th floor pad.

Believe it or not, a dozen SPIRE owners have already made SkyClub upgrades, cashing in on solid appreciation they’ve seen over the past two years, of around 11 percent. Those sales, Friedberg adds, also reflect that residents like SPIRE’s amenities: private health club; Box Office theater; concierge desk; the dog park; and year-round outdoor pool-deck with a DCPA/mountain view. “We’ve taken full advantage,” said Smith, adding that the couple has staged parties in the theater; makes regular hot tub/firepit trips on cooler nights; and are regulars downstairs at Row 14 and across at the Denver Center.

But seven entire series of SPIRE homes are already sold out. To see what’s left, along with ‘green’ features such as Hertz-On-Demand hourly car-sharing and a B-Cycle bike station, visit the Sales Center on Champa north of 14th, two blocks south of the free MallRide shuttle.
