When first launched her Kickstarter to raise $100,000 to record a CD, she made that goal in seven hours. By the time her crowd-funding campaign came to an end, she had collected more than $1.2 million from more than 24,000 donations — a record for the fund-raising website. The former Dresden Doll Palmer brings her “Theatre is Evil” tour to Denver on Friday with two appearances.

Palmer will be at Twist & Shout (2508 E. Colfax Ave.) from 4-5 p.m. for a meet and greet. (Customers who purchase the CD will get wristbands.)

She and her band, the Grand Theft Orchestra, will also play the on Friday at 9 p.m. .
