Loveland, fresh off a win over previous No. 1 Legacy, jumped six places to the top of this week’s 5A softball coaches poll.
Aside from the 15-4 win over Legacy, the Indians (15-1-0) beat Monarch 20-0 and Fairview 16-1. Loveland has won 11 games in a row, and its lone loss this season came to Edmond North (Okla.) on Sept. 8.
Legacy (13-2-2) fell to fourth this week, behind No. 2 Dakota Ridge and No. 3 Arvada West.
Palmer was the lone addition to the 5A poll this week, coming in at No. 9.
Pueblo East (4A) and Strasburg (3A) retained their No. 1 spots this week.
