Heritage boys soccer has continued its climb, and now sits atop the Class 5A boys soccer coaches poll.
The Eagles, ranked fifth two weeks ago, are now 11-0-1 following a 2-0-0 week. But their most recent ascent — from No. 2 — is due to former No. 1 Denver East’s stunning 3-1 loss to Denver South last week. The Angels fell to sixth this week.
Adams City bumped up a spot to second, Smoky Hill moved from sixth to third, and Loveland made a huge jump from tenth to fourth.
Boulder is 5A’s lone new team this week, at tenth. Cherry Creek fell out of the ranking from fourth.
The 4A poll didn’t add any new teams this week, though Ponderosa made a jump from tenth to fifth.
The 3A ranking added Salida (No. 8), Estes Park (No. 9) and Roaring Fork (No. 10).
