LOVELAND — When she found she was the 2013 Miss Loveland Valentine, Madison Polansky inhaled, beamed and wanted to call her dad.
“At first, it seemed very unreal,” the 17-year-old Mountain View High School senior said.
Polansky, who was nominated by her school and competed against nine other Loveland high-school seniors, got the good news Thursday at a luncheon hosted by the Thompson Valley Rotary Club.
The nominees wrote essays, participated in interviews and, at the luncheon, gave speeches about Loveland as their community. Six judges chose one girl to serve as the community’s ambassador for the next year.
