DENVER—A woman is recovering from a head injury after she was hit by a shuttle bus on downtown Denver’s popular 16th Street Mall.

Scott Reed, a spokesman for the Regional Transportation District, says the woman walked in front of the shuttle at about 2:15 p.m. Saturday. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Denver Post reports ( ) the woman, whose name has not been released, was ticketed, but Reed could not recall the exact infraction.

RTD buses regularly transport passengers along the mall, which bisects downtown.
