GREELEY, Colo.—Weld County commissioners are criticizing the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment over a sewage leak at a Brighton mobile-home park that is a health risk to residents.

State officials tell commissioners they have issued two notices to clean up the mess, but it could take a long time to get a court order. State officials say it would be faster for the county to take action.

The commissioners have ordered a property manager to fence the area where sewage bubbled up, establish a pumping schedule and clear the dried sewage.

According to the Greeley Tribune ( ), raw sewage has been leaking to the surface at Rocky Mountain Vista Mobile Home Park for about four weeks.
