A man who broke into a pickup truck in downtown Denver two weeks ago took change from the ashtray and a more valuable find: a semi-automatic pistol under the center armrest.
Denver police said the man took the , so named for the 5.7-by-28-mm diameter bullets it fires. The thief also took a bullet magazine from the glovebox.
The thief got into the truck by smashing a window with a rock, police said.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward to solve the theft that happened Nov. 30 at 400 15th St., which is between Glenarm and Tremont streets, a block west of the 16th Street Mall.
