Last year, and 3rdEyeGirl brought the Hit & Run Tour through the U.K. The unconventional run of appearances had Prince announcing the dates and locations of each show spontaneously.
Prince and revealed that he will play a yet-to-be-announced venue in Louisville, Kentucky on March 14. Tickets for this show go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 9.
If this tour is in any way similar to his U.K. trek, we can expect show announcements to come at any time.
So, could there be a sudden announcement of a Prince show in Denver?
The odds aren’t quite in our favor, given that just two years ago. But, you can’t rule it out. Maybe Prince really has a thing for Denver. Maybe he had a blast partying with us at high altitude in the Ogden. Maybe he loves the purple mountain majesties.
Seeing as tickets for this string of dates are being sold via Live Nation, you can’t plan on Prince returning to the Ogden Theatre (or any other AEG-run venue).
Rather, he could play the Fillmore Auditorium, 1stBank Center, Red Rocks or (cringe) the Pepsi Center. Since the Louisville venue hasn’t been announced yet, we’re not sure how big of a tour this is, but chances are he’ll be sticking to smaller venues.
Keep your fingers crossed, Denver, or better yet, shred some riffs to please the Purple One.
