GREELEY, Colo.—A 24-year-old man has been sentenced to 16 years to life in prison for multiple sexual assaults on a 13-year-old girl.
Samuel Sanchez-Brito was convicted in September of sex assault on a child and sex assault on a child as a pattern of abuse.
According to the Weld County district attorney, the mother of the victim was an illegal immigrant who was temporarily allowed to stay in the United States to testify.
