In the same week, bot of full-lengths, “For Emma, Forever Ago” and “Bon Iver” have been certified gold records by the RIAA in the U.S.

The albums, which were released nearly two-and-a-half year’s apart, passed 500,000 copies at the same time, according to a news release.

Bon Iver, a folk project by musician Justin Vernon, formed in 2007 and reached national acclaim with the sophomore release “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” in 2011. The album won the Grammy for Best Alternative Album and Best New Artist.
