Vampire Weekend has debuted, “Arms,” its new song from the band’s upcoming and still-untitled new album.
The group played the song during its show at the Metro Theatre in Sydney on Jan. 23, Listen to Vampire Weekend’s new song “Arms” below.
This performance comes just for its first album since 2010’s Contra.
Earlier this month, Vampire Weekend frontman, Ezra Koenig, that the
“It really does feel like the third chapter in a book,” Koenig told Q. ”We created some characters on the first record, some of which are real people, some of which are ourselves, so itap not hard to keep following them and see what their concerns are now and how their lives have changed.”
The group hasn’t played in Colorado since its in support of “Contra.”
Koenig told Q that the gap between albums was due to the “ruthlessness of the Internet.”
