Denver Public Works has dispatched 120 trucks to deal with snow on 14,000 residential streets in the metro area.
The trucks will make making one sweep apiece, said Ann Williams, a Denver Public Works spokeswoman.
Crews have a goal of making contact with all those blocks in the next 48 hours, but it may take three days, Williams said.
Residents should note that the trucks will not remove snow down to the bare pavement.
The trucks are meant to take the first inch or two of snow off the streets so deep ruts do not form, Williams said.
