Spotlight on Kevin Durant: In Wednesday’s 119-74 rout of the New Orleans Hornets, Durant had a triple-double in just 27 minutes, tallying 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Only six NBA players, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, have registered a triple-double in a game that his team won by 45 or more points. Two were Nuggets — Fat Lever in 1987 and Marcus Camby in 2008.

NOTEBOOK

Thunder: Oklahoma City leads the NBA with 106.8 points per game. Denver is third at 105.5. … The Thunder has lost four of its past five games on the road. … The Thunder dominates in numerous important categories — point differential (first in the NBA), field-goal percentage (third), 3-point percentage (second) and free-throw shooting (first).

Nuggets: When the Nuggets started the season with 17-of-23 games on the road, much was made about the Doug Moe system, named after Denver’s former coach, which gives a team a plus-one for a road win, minus-one for a home loss. Well now, with a month-and-a-half left in the season, Denver remains one of the better teams in the Doug Moe system. The Nuggets are fifth in the NBA at plus-10 (trailing only the Thunder, Clippers, Heat and Spurs). … In his past eight games, point guard Ty Lawson has averaged 26.1 points and eight assists, while shooting 52.8 percent from the field. … The Nuggets scored 72 points in the paint in Wednesday night’s 111-109 victory at Portland.
