A man who held police at bay while shooting off a gun has been charged with 24 crimes.
Shaun Tobelmann, 34, is charge with 11 counts of attempted first-degree murder, 11 counts of first-degree assault, one count of third-degree assault and failure to leave when requested by a peace officer, the Denver District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
On Feb. 21 police were at 1196 Grant St. on reports of a suicidal person.
The man — later identified as Tobelmann — then barricaded himself inside the apartment, police said, touching off a standoff that ended more than four hours later. No injuries were reported.
Tobelmann is in custody on $100,00 bond and had an advisement hearing March 1.
