For the third year, Illegal Pete’s and the are marching Colorado talent down to Austin, Tex., to play for the sweaty masses at This year, the two-night Starving Artist Showcase features a mix of musical and comedic talent on March 14 and 15 at Peckerheads (402 E. 6th Street).
Along with Colorado mainstays such as , , Input, the Knew, , and are some national acts like California’s Whispertown. To add to the good news, both nights include free beer.
As it turns out, all things cost money, especially trucking your band down to SXSW, so Illegal Pete’s is throwing a fundraiser on March 9 at Summit Music Hall to help pay for the trip.
