Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in the hit-and-run collision that injured four people outside a Denver restaurant early Sunday.
Larry Vo was arrested after calling police.
He was being held for investigation of vehicular assault, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident after a hit-and-run accident with serious injuries.
“He is cooperating with police,” said Denver police spokesman Carlos Montoya.
Police recovered a silver 2002 Honda Civic Hatchback that was sought in the case.
The car has damage indicating it was in a recent crash, Montoya said.
The as people were leaving the Maxim Lounge on West Mississippi Avenue east of South Federal Boulevard after a fight.
The car sped through the parking lot of the Pho 96 Vietnamese Restaurant across the street and struck four people who had not been involved in the fight.
A husband and wife remain at Denver Health Medical Center in critical condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Another man was injured, and a woman suffered a concussion.
The driver later called police saying that he wanted to turn himself in, according to a news release.
In 2007, Vo was charged in Arapahoe County with theft, possession of burglary tools, menacing with a real or simulated weapon, and vehicular eluding. He pleaded guilty to reduced charges of reckless driving and reckless endangerment and served a three-year probation sentence. The burglary, menacing, theft and eluding charges were dismissed.
