FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Firefighters battling a blaze in the foothills west of Fort Collins are worried about high wind warnings that could restrict helicopter support.
A red flag warning that was posted Tuesday means there will also be low humidity, creating a severe fire danger.
Firefighters said the 1,300-acre Galena Fire was 85 percent contained Monday evening.
The fire has damaged numerous pedestrian bridges in Lory State Park. That park and Horsetooth Mountain Park have been closed due to the fire.
