ERIE, Colo.—An Aurora municipal judge will review an ethics complaint against Erie Mayor Joe Wilson over his involvement in a property eviction.
Judge Dana Spade was retained Friday by Erie Municipal Judge Willard Hardesty following a special meeting the Erie Board of Trustees on March 8.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), questions arose after Wilson tried to evict a tenant from a home he manages in order to sell it.
The tenant, Karol Hopper, called police on the mayor and he was served with a restraining order.
Wilson has said his dealings with Hopper are a private business matter and have nothing to do with his office.
