Glastonbury 2013 lineup announced: Rolling Stones, Vampire Weekend, the Lumineers and more

After a year hiatus, the has announced its initial 2013 lineup, which includes the as a first-ever headliner. Along with the Stones at the top of the bill are , and , who have become familiar names on festival posters this year. Denver’s will also make their first appearance at England’s most iconic festival.

Other acts include Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Portishead, Alt-J, Public Enemy, Crystal Castles, Tyler, the Creator, Toro Y Moi, Cat Power, the xx, Tame Impala, Solange, Local Natives and more.

First held in the 1970s, the festival took a break in 2012 because of the cost and shortage of police and portable toilets of the Summer Olympics in London. Past headliners include, U2, Coldplay, Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Neil Young and David Bowie.
