CANON CITY, Colo.—The former executive director of a Canon City family crisis center who pleaded guilty to theft has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Andrea Hammond was sentenced Tuesday. She was accused of embezzling nearly $75,000 from Family Crisis Services. The agency works with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

According to the Canon City Daily Record ( ), the thefts forced the agency to cut back on services.
