GREELEY, Colo.—A Weld District Court judge has sentenced a man to 13 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl after providing her and three other preteen girls with alcohol.
Mefe Cruz-Berula was arrested in November after police found him and another man with four girls who had been reported missing.
According to the Greeley Tribune ( ), Cruz-Berula pleaded guilty to child abuse, negligence resulting in serious bodily injury and attempted sexual assault on a child. He faces deportation after he serves his sentence.
Uriel Garcia pleaded guilty to one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and faces sentencing next week.
