Firefighters doused a fire early Tuesday morning in an industrial building in northeast Denver.
The fire broke out about 5:26 in the 4400 block of Garfield Street in a marijuana grow operation.
“The fire is out, it appears to be in a grow house,” said Mark Watson, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.
The building, which is joined to other buildings forming a row, is in a light industrial and warehouse section of the city off of I-70 and Colorado Boulevard.
“They did a good job of stopping the fire before it got a chance to spread,” Watson said.
Firefighters remained on scene checking for hot spots. There were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
