Cher’s mother Georgia Holt has made her chart debut — 33 years after her music was originally recorded.

Holt, 86, and her country collection “Honky Tonk Woman” reached No. 13 on the Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums list, plus No. 43 on the Top Country Albums chart.

The former beauty queen recorded the songs in 1980 with members of Elvis Presley’s band, , but the sessions sat in her garage, until now. The album includes 10 songs, with a cover of “Love Me Tender” and original material. Cher, of course, also duets with her mother on the album.

Appearing on “The Tonight Show” recently, Cher told host Jay Leno how she “took to my musical director and he went in and took it apart and put all new music on it. Basically, we just kept Mom’s voice and put everything else new on it.”

Cher also recently completed a new album — the follow-up to “Living Proof” features a number of collaborators, rumoured to include Jake Shears, Timbaland, Lady Gaga and Pink. No release date has been confirmed as of now.
