Investigators in Jefferson County suspect a woman fatally stabbed her husband in their home before stabbing herself.
Sandra Lee Schreiber, 69, is suspected in the death of her husband, Michael P. Schreiber, 79, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Schreiber staggered out of his home in a blood-soaked shirt Monday morning and collapsed on the front lawn.
Emergency personnel responding to the home, in the 7800 block of West Ontario Place, found Sandra L. Schreiber, 69, inside, suffering from a stab wound. She was taken to a local hospital.
Sandra Schreiber will be booked on suspicion of first-degree murder when she is released from Littleton Adventist Hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators suspect that Sandra stabbed Michael and that her wound was self-inflicted and that the .
