SILVERTON, Colo.—A century-old gondola rail car is getting a new home at a Silverton museum.

The Durango Railroad Historical Society rescued the relic from a Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad siding at Tacoma, about 20 miles north of Durango, where it sat for decades.

According to the Durango Herald ( ), the rail car that was moved to Silverton on Wednesday is part of a renovation of the Silverton Northern Railroad engine house museum.
