AURORA, Colo.—A seventh-grader from Aurora will represent Colorado in the final round of the National Geographic Bee.
Pranit Nanda (PRAN’-it nahn-dah) was one of 10 students from across the country named a finalist in the competition in Washington on Monday. The 13-year-old attends Aurora Quest K-8 School.
The finals will be held Wednesday and hosted by Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek.
The winner will receive a $25,000 college scholarship, a trip to the Galapagos Islands and a lifetime membership in the National Geographic Society.
