Smashburger is looking for “Burgers” — as in last names, not patties — to celebrate National Hamburger Month. Tomorrow, if your name has “burger” in it, you get a free Classic Smashburger. A photo ID is required to get the freebie at participating locations. Limit one offer per customer.

Bored no more

Get the kids off the couch and into fun, healthy activities without spending a dime. MY Denver Card gives kids ages 5 to 18 year-round free access to the city’s 26 recreation centers and 29 pools and serves as a Denver Public Library card. Parents can take their children to any Denver recreation center, fill out an application and receive their MY Denver Card on the spot. The program is open to all students in grades K-12, regardless of their school, as long as they’re Denver residents.

More dough for your “dough”

With seven metro Denver area locations, Entenmann’s Oroweat Bakery Outlet sells brand-name bread, pastries, cookies, sweet rolls, English muffins and much more well below grocery store prices, with nothing more than 3 days old. Fresh items are marked down 20 percent, day-old items even more. Typically you’ll find a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Plus, buy $8 worth of merchandise and take home a free “manager’s choice” item. Don’t be afraid to stock up. Baked goods freeze nicely, typically up to three months.
