GREELEY — A Greeley woman faces several felony charges after she was arrested on suspicion of stealing gold coins from a disabled elderly woman and pawning them for thousands of dollars.

Patricia Terrazas, 44, was arrested last week on suspicion of stealing gold and silver coins from the elderly woman for whom she was providing care last year, according to an arrest affidavit. The report states that the woman was keeping the coins in her bedroom closet, and Terrazas is accused of pawning 26 coins in exchange for anywhere between $33,000 and $43,000.

The woman, who died earlier this year, did not want to pursue charges against Terrazas, but her family opted to file the case after her death, the report states.
