Santa Fe Trail fest
Trinidad’s Santa Fe Trail Festival takes place Friday and Saturday. The festival features a duck race down the Purgatoire River, a Coal Car Race, children’s games, live entertainment, food and craft vendors, historical re-enactments and more.
Slice of Western history in Telluride
The fifth annual Telluride Heritage Festival is Saturday-June 9. Celebrating the history of the West, this festival includes sheep-shearing, pie-eating contests, gold panning, Ute dancing and drumming, stagecoach rides, re-enactments on Main Street, costumes and more.

The Colorado Medieval Festival will be Friday-June 9 at Wild Ranch in Loveland. This two-day festival dedicated to “knowledge through recreation” includes food, craft demonstrations, music, live performances and combat entertainment, shops and more.
Grand Lake interactive exhibit
The Kauffman House Museum’s exhibit “Grand Avenue: A Walk in the Past” runs through Sept. 2 in Grand Lake. This family-friendly, interactive exhibit within the restored and rustic Victorian Hotel-turned-museum is filled with approachable displays. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras.
