Tuesday afternoon! Time to rip off a track from emerging techno producer .

Hollagramz, the nom de beats of Denver producer Ron Cole, describes his brand of ambient electronic music as “atlantean techno.” Don’t worry, we had to look it up, too, and Webster defines the term as pertaining to Atlas, the man carrying the world on his shoulders. And the description is apt. The Greek titan is closely associated with the cosmos, and Hollagramz music is otherworldly, or between worlds. It didn’t grow from the dirt, but fell from the sky.

Tomorrow, Hollagramz, who had production help from , another Denver producer, will release his first LP on Brooklyn’s . If techno is your bag, there’s a lot here to love. Even listening to the album outside a club with its sweaty flesh and throbbing lights — say, in a solitary living room on a Monday afternoon — can inspire rhythmic contortions you didn’t know possible. (Not that we can — ahem — say for sure.) The driving beats are hypnotic, and when you give in to the techno state, the production flourishes  may inspire a kind of rapture.

Please note that downloads offered via Steal This Track are intended to whet your appetite, and are NOT CD-quality recordings. If you want those, please support the artists by buying their music and/or seeing them live.
