A power outage Tuesday impacted some downtown Denver attractions.

The reported that it was closed Tuesday because of an outage and the reported power issues had closed the Central Library at Civic Center.

The reported that the new wing, the Hamilton Building, is closed Tuesday. The North Building is open.

A contractor caused damage to the system, which affected 161 customers, about 8:45 a.m., according to an Xcel Energy spokeswoman.

The outage hit an area from Glenarm Street to Speer Boulevard and 17th to 13th avenues. Power has been rerouted and all customers were back on line by 11:20 a.m., Xcel said.
