A 7-year-old child died Tuesday in an all-terrain vehicle, roll-over accident in Rio Blanco County.
The accident happened about 6:55 p.m. on private property about 12 miles northeast of Meeker off of Rio Blanco County Road 11, according to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was initially pinned under the four-seat, four-wheel vehicle. He was not breathing and had no pulse when pulled out from underneath the vehicle.
He was taken to Pioneers Hospital in Meeker where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
