Arvada Historical Society’s annual Garden Tour
Saturday: The third annual self-guided tour features six Arvada gardens along with the Rose Roots Community Gardens, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. $15. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the tour at the Arvada Flour Mill, 5590 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., beginning at 8:30 a.m. Maps will be provided. Loveland Garden Tour & Art Show
Saturday: The tour features seven “Gardens on Garfield,” 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. A sale of “art for the garden” is included along with a silent auction of paintings created by local and regional artists for outdoor living spaces. Tickets, available in advance at several Loveland and Fort Collins locations, are $15, children age 10 and under are free. Sweeney’s “I Hate Moles Because …”
Through Aug. 31: The seventh annual nationwide search for “tales of despair from mole-afflicted homeowners.” The winning submission is awarded $500, with $250 for second place and $100 for third place. Five runner-ups will each receive a basket full of Sweeney’s mole control weapons, including traps, repellents and baits.
