4) Vans Warped Tour — Sports Authority Field, $45.20, Sunday

Oh to be 13 and get dropped off by dad or mom at Vans Warped Tour. Is there any better feeling? Adulthood and rebellion in one confusing and exciting day of pop-punk. Really, the most incredible thing about Warped Tour is how cheep it is — especially looking back on it as an adult. $45.20? When you’re 13 that sounds like your entire life savings, but as an adult that price to see more than 90 bands is a steal. Tickets are still available.

2) Shannon & the Clams — Larimer Lounge, $8-$10, Sunday

OK, so surf-rock and surf-punk is all over the place lately. But Shannon & the Clams feels entirely unique, just because the band isn’t trying to do anything wild with the genre. The vocals — with San Francisco sass — sound like they are being cranked out of some chrome-plated ‘60s guitar stereo, as do the playful guitar riffs. Plus, frontwoman Shannon Shaw as both singer and personality will be great to see live at Larimer Lounge on Sunday.

1) Blues Traveler — Red Rocks, $36.95-$44.50, Fourth of July

On the Fourth of July you can celebrate the U.S.A. in a number of ways. You could go see the Rockies play the Dodgers, maybe stay home and grill, or you can go see Blues Traveler at . This is Blues Traveler’s 20th year playing Red Rocks on July Fourth. Itap a tradition thatap as old as, well, the Rockies themselves. Normally this show ends with the most epic of fireworks displays between the monoliths, though that likely won’t be the case with the fire danger high once again. Keep in mind this year is also a one-night event as opposed to two.
