AURORA, Colo.—Aurora firefighters say a model rocket is to blame for igniting a small brush fire at Great Plains Park on the Fourth of July.

KMGH-TV reports that two brothers will be fined for allegedly setting off the rocket that started the 3-acre fire Thursday ( ).

Officials initially suspected fireworks, but the station reported that an investigation showed that the model rocket was to blame for starting the 3-acre fire.

The Aurora Fire Department said a model rocket is not considered fireworks, but is still illegal. No one was injured in the brush fire.
