GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—The contractor that resurfaced eastbound Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon, east of Hanging Lake Tunnel, has earned a bonus for finishing its work early.

The Post Independent reports ( ) Interstate Highway Construction of Englewood had a $7.9 million contract for a 94 working-day project that included concrete reconstruction, but it finished the work in 78.5 days. The Colorado Department of Transportation offered an incentive of $6,000 per day if IHC finished the project early, meaning its work is worth an incentive of $93,000.
