Denver’s Consumer Concept Group and AEG announced Monday that Consumer Concept, founded by Rick Schaden, will open three restaurants in the L.A. Live sports and entertainment district in Los Angeles.

The three restaurants to be opened by Consumer Concept Group are Tom’s Urban, Smashburger and Live Basil Pizza, all developed and operated by CCG.

AEG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Anschutz Co.

According to Schaden, the three restaurants will be located across approximately 24,000-square-feet of restaurant space directly across the street from the Staples Centers and in close proximity to the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, the J W. Marriott; L.A. LIVE hotels and Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.

“This is an exciting move for us,” said Schaden, chairman of Consumer Concept Group. “We have spent time developing really great resturants that appeal to all types of consumers. We are now ready to put them on center stage in one of the biggest entertainment and life-style destinations in the nation, L.A. LIVE.”

Schaden said the grand openings for each of the restaurants is planned for the fourth quarter 2013.

Ted Tanner, executive vice president, real estate development, AEG, said that AEG is “very excited to have these three popular and proven restaurants join our great mix of entertainment options at L.A. LIVE.
