CORTEZ, Colo.—A former Montezuma County undersheriff whose spending is being reviewed had charged nearly $7,500 to a department-issued credit card in the first half of 2013, compared with more than $11,500 for all of 2012, according to expense records.

The Cortez Journal reports ( ) Robin Cronk turned in receipts for items large and small, including camouflage seat covers for $57.98, an iPhone case for $73.16 and a gun club visit in Scottsdale, Ariz., for $600.

Cronk has an unlisted phone number and couldn’t be reached for comment Monday.

Cronk resigned last month, shortly after the Colorado Bureau of Investigation confirmed it was checking into credit card spending involving him. Former Deputy District Attorney Linda Carter was hired to replace him.
