It’s been a big year for Denver hairstylist and salon owner Matthew Morris of He moved his business to a building he renovated at 13 S. Broadway, and Salon Today named him the second runner-up in the country for Salon of the Year. He’s also staged a couple of big shows in the new location and added a men’s department. But the biggest prop to come Morris’ way was being named the first-ever Men’s Hairstylist of the Year at the recent held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. This is Morris’ second NAHA win — he got the Editorial Hairstylist of the Year award in 2006. The NAHAs are among the industry’s top photo competitions and honor skill and artistry in various categories.
