A woman was injured early Thursday morning when the car she was driving slammed into a Mexican restaurant.
The crash happened about 2:16 a.m. at El Senor Sol, 6651 S. University Blvd., Centennial, said Capt. Jared Rowlison, an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
The vehicle was northbound on University when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crashed into the restaurant.
The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, Rowlison said. Further details on the injuries were not available.
Traffic investigators are looking at the incident to determine a cause.
Building inspectors with the city are checking the damage to assess the integrity of the building.
