The second man charged with robbing a Denver Radio Shack in September and holding the clerk hostage at gunpoint pleaded guilty on Thursday.
Michael Annan, 24, pleaded guilty to an added charge of aggravated robbery, according to a news release from the Denver District Attorney’s office.
The other seven counts against Annan were dropped.
Annan and his co-defendant Taveuan Williams, 20, allegedly tried to rob the store on Sept. 7. But the botched robbery quickly spiraled into a during which the two held the clerk hostage and shot at police.
Both men surrendered to police six hours later.
Annan faces up to 40 years in prison. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 12.
On May 9, and first-degree assault. A sentencing hearing in his case has been scheduled for Aug. 15.
