Phil Anschutz’s investment vehicle, the Anschutz Co., invested $10.5 million in iPad app maker PlayerLync, according to a regulatory filing. PlayerLync announced the Anschutz investment last month, but didn’t disclose the amount.

PlayerLync makes iPad playbooks for the Denver Broncos and 15 other National Football League teams.

Anschutz’s investment will allow Englewood-based PlayerLync to expand its software platform from the playing field to the corporate office.

The two-year-old company is eyeing an expansion into industries such as medical, transportation, energy, telecommunications and retail. It employs 12 and plans to grow to 30 by the end of the year with the cash infusion from Anschutz.
